Monday, 1 June 2020

Dear Suppliers,

Today we have announced our Opening Average Milk Price at $6.40/kgMS after deductions to meet the new Dairy Code of Conduct requirements.   This will enable our farmers to prepare budgets to make on farm decisions.

We have opened with caution as there is still a lot of uncertainty in all markets due to Covid-19 and some political uncertainty which may affect trade between some countries however, we believe there is plenty of upside in the markets for the season ahead of us all.

For all our existing agreements we will honour these under the Dairy Code of Conduct until their end date as outlined in the Agreement Details Schedule. For those that are about to expire 1st July, our intention is to extend the agreements for a further 12 months however, if you do not wish to extend your agreement please let us know.

This will be our fourth full season processing and once again we continue to get better each season which allows us to reflect these gains in milk price to our suppliers.

In the coming days our team will make contact with every supplier to get a better understanding of your intentions for the coming season.

Regards,

Dean McKenna.

What Has Changed?

25th February 2020

While the Coronavirus has had a minor impact on the global markets, this has been offset by the exchange rate. The domestic market remains competitive having a positive impact on your milk price.

It has so far been an exceptional season for our farmers from a production perspective and we hope that this will continue through into next season which is just around the corner.
